A Favorite Christmas Tradition

We continued one of our favorite Christmas traditions this year--attending the lighting ceremony at Bob Jones University. It's so much fun! The kids loved the lights and the singing. :o)

In family devotions, we've been working on learning all four verses of "Joy to the World," so Hannah was very excited to join in when it was sung as one of the last carols of the evening!

We even got a family picture this year, compliments of one the students who worked in Hannah's classroom last year. :o)
I love how the lights reflect on the water!
Joy to the world! the Lord is come:
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heaven and nature sing.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love.
Merry Christmas!

Your pictures give it so much more depth than the webcam. I so hope they are still up when we are down at your house.

It's funny--we drove by them tonight and I could only think how little justice my pictures do!

Such a special tradition!
The lights are so pretty!
And the singing, a little
bit of heaven on earth!
