365 Project | Week 14

It has been a fun, blessed week! Not only have we had the privilege of preparing to celebrate our Savior's resurrection, but we also had the privilege of enjoying fellowship with good friends. :) What a great week!

Day 92. Daddy and the kiddos enjoyed an afternoon snuggle and story before settling down for rest time.
Day 93. I am loving my new camera! So excited to be able to capture clear pictures of my munchkins feet! :) Sounds crazy, I know, but it's something I've been trying to do for a long time. Nearly seven years in fact. ;)

Day 94. Home sweet home. :)

Day 95. 5:47. Wednesday evening. Discovered upon calling the kids in for dinner. Make that baths. Arrived at church (solo) with three children--clean and fed--at 7:06. Pshew.Day 96. Thoroughly enjoyed dyeing Easter eggs for the first time ever with the kids and their friend Andrew.

Day 97. A family portrait, compliments of Aunt Kerri. :)

Day 98. Heather, Kerri, and I enjoyed an incredible "Girls' Day Out." :) What a blessing to be able to get back together with friends that you haven't seen in 2-3 years (!!!) and feel as if it's been just a few weeks. Thanks, Ladies, for the wonderful weekend! :) SO glad you could come! :)

Day 99. Creeping into Week 15, but wanted to share our Easter picture of the kids from this morning. So thankful to know we serve a risen Savior. "He has risen, as He said."

With our able assistants ...

We took advantage of a beautiful, unseasonably warm Saturday and turned our mismatched shed into this:

Black trim paint and a replacement door are coming, but we're definitely rejoicing in the improvement already! :o) (And also encouraged by how much help our growing crew was able to provide!)

"Not Me"

One of the blogs I read periodically has a regular feature called "Not Me Mondays" in which she records all of the things she did "not" do in the previous week. (Obviously these are things she wishes she had not done!) Without further ado, let me share my own "Not Me" post.

I did not completely and utterly forget school pictures on Monday morning, thus sending my daughter to school for her K5 pictures in a neat, but very ordinary outfit with hair which she had brushed and styled herself with a headband.

I did not fail to have the thought of school pictures even cross my mind until a friend at work who also has a child in K5 asked me, "So, is Hannah excited about school pictures today?"

And if I had reacted in astonishment to the realization of aforementioned school pictures, the ladies in the office would not have had many good chuckles at my expense, with the comforting words that it made them feel better to have me forget such a thing.

And if I had done such a thing, I certainly would not have forgotten to take a picture of her after school to at least document the occasion.

Nope, not me. :o)

And although lacking the aforementioned picture, at least you can enjoy some other cute pictures of our kiddoes ...

Lest anyone think I "have it all together."

I stand on record.

I don't.

:o)

P.S. - The one consolation is that Peter's school pictures were not scheduled for the same day. He was wearing camo Monday morning.

I think I need to clean under there a little more often!

A Gnarly Loaf

Not every breadmaker loaf comes out looking beautiful . . .



And no, it does not taste better than it looks. Thankfully our first attempt turned out well, so there is hope for the machine. Really not sure what happened this time. (Yes, I added all of the ingredients and in the right order.)

Kitchen Adventure

Note to Self:
Popping popcorn without the lid is a bad idea.

But everyone should try it at least once--
it makes for a very exciting time! :o)
