Posing Pretty

I enlisted reinforcements this afternoon to get a spring photo of my munchkins! :o) Anyone who has tried to coordinate multiple children in a photoshoot understands the necessity of having someone jumping around behind you to keep their attention and garner smiles! :o) Thought you might enjoy the results as much as us!

Have a wonderful week!

Lovin' Life!

I scream,
You scream,
We all scream

For ice cream!

And then we clean up . . .
And work it off so we can eat some more! :o)

Undercover Operations

When the garbage disposal sucked the water up the vent and then pushed it back into the sink, and the washing machine wouldn't drain . . . my wonderful husband pulled out his plumber's hat! (I'm so thankful he has so many hats in the closet!)

This was the culprit for the sink! YUCK! 40+ years of GUNK!

Handy dandy tools . . .
To accomplish THIS! (He had to chisel out around the pipe in the concrete.)

And now we have a new washing machine drain . . .

And a new sink drain!

Which means I can once again wash both dishes and laundry! Yeah! (Funny sometimes, what we're thankful for!) :o)

Thanks, Honey! :o)

Fun Family Time!

We squeezed in some fun time Tuesday evening with the washable finger paints Peter got for his birthday. :o) (And yes, we still wore smocks, even though they're washable!) :o) I went to dafont.com, found a cool font, and printed up the letters of their name--then they painted!

Their personalities (as well as their age/abilities) were so evident in this craft! Peter needed assistance to get color in the right locations and everything was completely smeared together by the time he finished the second letter. :o)

Hannah's paints were completely neat and unmixed even as she finished the last letter of her name! :o)

Appearances must be deceiving since he looks like a little angel . . . :o)

The final product! :o) The goal is to cut out the letters, glue them to poster board, and hang them in their bedroom. :o)

Have fun getting messy!

Wildflowers. . . in our own backyard!

We left the boxes Tuesday afternoon to . . .
go pick wildflowers!

The day lilies growing by our driveway were the initial draw, but we than rampaged the rest of the yard to come up with a full bouquet! :o)

What fun! And Peter undertook the responsiblity of carrying the flowers very seriously . . . :o) No pictures of Hannah as she was flitting about from one to another with no desire to stand still! :o)

Our collection before . . .
And after! :o)
What a wonderful spot of color! :o)
Thank You, Lord, for flowers!

A couple new pieces . . .

Just wanted to share the blessing we're enjoying of a couple new pieces of furniture! :o)

I've been watching Craig's List for a while in an effort to find "new" (to us) livingroom furniture, since I knew our lone couch would be lost in the larger space. Well, after many weeks of hunting and one wasted trip, we finally found the set we were looking for! :o) Friends watched the kids last night since we can't fit everybody in the truck, and we drove out to get them with another friend's trailer. :o) We ended up waiting out a terrific thunderstorm with torrential rain and huge lightning under the cover of an old deserted gas station, BUT, praise the Lord, the couches stayed dry except for one arm on the loveseat and they're just what we were hoping for! :o) Yeah!

And many, many thanks to my Aunt Barbie and Uncle Dave! They moved from a queen to a king size bed and donated their old bed frame to us when we moved from a king to a queen! :o) Isn't it beautiful?!? It reminds me of one of those fancy beds you'd find in a B&B! :o) Thanks, Aunt Barbie! :o) (And thanks Mom and Dad for transporting it down here!) :o)

Sweet Dreams

I'm glad nobody takes pictures of me while I'm sleeping, but these were too cute to pass up! :o)

Hannah tends to roll around a good bit while she's sleeping, so when she slept on a mat in our bedroom while family slept in her bed, she often ended up under the bed! Zzzzzzz.

I'm flying . . .

Doesn't he look like he fell asleep praying? :o) I love it! :o)
Sweet dreams! :o)

The Joys of a Puddle

Grandma stayed an extra day so she could play with the kids while I unpacked our kitchen . . .
And the plans to play with the hose while cleaning off the blinds were spoiled by the rain . . .
Never fear, Grandma's here with Plan B . . .

Go jump in a puddle!! :o)

Sharing Some Smiles

We've had lots of pictures of celebrations and house renovations, but not too much ordinary day to day fun! So, here's a few smiles to share . . .

Yes, we love stickers!
Thanks for "sticking with me," Grandma!
Notice the very precise line up?
Our little artist loves her new art board! Now, what to do with all of those pictures . . . ??? :o)
Mommy's big girl helping her little brother!
The morning after our move . . . Peter absolutely loves the hardwood floors and extra space! It's hysterical to watch him tearing around with his trucks! And he has the funniest expression as he puckers his lips to make the perfect "vrrrmmm" sound! :o)
