Life misc.

Life keeps a movin', even with Grandma and Grandpa visiting. Grandpa helped us take the family picture we'll probably use for our Christmas letters in a few weeks. (Can you believe how quickly Christmas is approaching?!?)

Hannah and Peter helped Mommy make dinner while G&G did some shopping . . .

Peter decided that stewed Eeyore would be a yummy dish . . .

And they cooperated on making pumpkin soup--Hannah read the "recipe."

And Peter got a haircut . . . albeit somewhat unwillingly.

Couples Only!

One of the definite blessings of grandparents visiting is the opportunity for Mommy and Daddy to get some time alone. We thoroughly enjoyed attending the couple's conference at church on Saturday and then taking the afternoon and evening for driving, hiking, and lots and lots of talking! :o)

Fun with Grandma & Grandpa!

We're glad to have Grandma and Grandpa H. visiting for a week! Hannah and Peter have enjoyed staying home from school in the mornings and reveling in Grandma and Grandpa's undivided attention.

Cleaning Crew

Mommy has some first rate helpers in the making!

Mommy got the "1st layer" of dirt while Hannah took care of the "2nd layer." Isn't mopping fun?

And Peter's classic expression:
"Why are you taking pictures?
Aren't we supposed to be working here?"

Playtime with Daddy

Daddy engineers some of the greatest games!

And yes, our budding engineer has learned the "I'm focusing" look from his Daddy. :o)

A Sunday Drive

Yesterday we enjoyed the age-old tradition of a Sunday afternoon drive.

We had a wonderful time, and the colors were absolutely breathtaking! I am so glad God designed the trees to turn such beautiful colors!!! I love to see the results of His creative paintbrush splashed across the mountains!

The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament showeth his handiwork.
Psalm 19:1

Hopefully you won't mind the abundance of pictures . . .

Sassafras Mountain . . . a hidden jewel

Table Rock in its autumn glory!

(Peter was sleeping at this stop, but Hannah was having fun!)

Enjoy the beautiful colors of Creation!
