Happy Days

Here's just some ordinary pics of everyday stuff around our house . . . gotta love smiles!

I wanted to get a picture of Peter and Matthew since they were both wearing plane outfits, and Hannah jumped in on the action, too, so we got a family pic! :o)
Tuesday was "puzzle day" . . . the puzzles were rediscovered in our yard sale endeavors, and at one point Hannah had 8 of them put together!
The dragon has entered at least its third family! :o) Hand-me-downs are such a blessing! :o)

At six weeks, Matthew's wearing his six month outfits, and his big sister is FANTASTIC at settling him when he's a bit fussy. :o) And her comment about Matthew's size, "Matthew! You sure have gotten big in a jiffy!"
Starting to get smiles and coos! :o)
Peter's fixing things around the house . . . (and wearing his very favorite shirt in this picture as well!)
Matthew still sleeps a lot . . .
We still thoroughly enjoy the breadmaker . . .
The duck is apparently a quite enthralling conversationalist . . .

Here's my two airplane lovers . . .
Hannah-bug with her chalk drawings . . .
She wrote Peter's name in a complete mirror-image . . .
And here's the chubby one . . . :o)
That's life in these parts! Come join us for the fun! :o)

The things I'd say if I could talk . . .

"Now students. It is critical that you get this point."
"Mommy! You wouldn't believe what I just saw!"
To the turtle: "Don't smile, don't smile, hold just a moment longer. The camera will flash, and then you can grin!"
"Awww, Mommy! You caught my smile on film!"
"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine."
Proverbs 17:22

Two Mommies, Six Kids

We had a wonderful afternoon this week visiting with my dear friend Kerri and her three kiddos. No pictures of the mommies, but the kiddoes are super cute! :o)

Ethan and Lexi (6 months) ~ Matthew (6 weeks)
Hannah and Jordan with the twins
Hannah and Jordan are about a year apart and are both definitely "first born," but they had fun playing together (with occasional reminders that friends shouldn't be bossy . . . ) ;o)
Peter supervising . . .
Trying the squirrel's approach with the water . . .
Very intense design session
This is better than paint!
Thanks for a great visit, Kerri!! :o)

Changing Every Day

It's amazing how fast little ones change and grow in the first few months! Here's some pictures of our Matthew from the last few weeks . . .

For the record, he's growing like a weed! At 5-1/2 weeks, I'm having to pull out his 3-6 month clothes! He was 11 pounds 11 ounces and 24 inches long at his one-month checkup. He's a sweet, content baby who loves to snuggle and is quite tolerant of the loving affections of his older siblings. :o)

A Few Representative Photos

The last few weeks have flown by . . .

We enjoyed a great visit with G&G H. Peter and Grandpa especially were best buds. :o)

Hannah received lots of craft supplies for her birthday and has thoroughly enjoyed them! Although unpictured, a set of foam sticker mosaics has been the special favorite. :o)
Chris and I enjoyed a night away with just our littlest one to celebrate our anniversary. :o) Matthew was an obligingly sleepy companion who arranged all of his hunger pains around convenient feeding times. ;o)
I have many such "in motion" pictures of my big boy. He's a riot and perpetually in motion! :o)
We have made some progress on the downstairs bath--more on that sometime later . . . maybe? It's coming along though and I am absolutely thrilled with the prospect of having a 5 foot wide linen closet in the very near future! :o) In seven years of marriage, I have never been able to unbox our spare linens!
Hannah's enjoying being home for the summer and we're enjoying having her home! :o)
It's too funny watching Peter with his lawnmower--he makes all the same motions of pulling the cord, flipping the switch, etc. that Daddy makes when he uses the real one! And no pictures of it, but Daddy and the kids have thoroughly enjoyed using Grandpa's tractor around the yard and it's looking so much better! :o) (Quite a bit less "junglish" . . . )
I hit the big Three-O this year. Yikes.
Hannah's loving her new bike. And I like her new bike. It's great exercise keeping up with her! :o)
We've adopted a snail. Yep. It's in my serving dish. The things I never imagined doing. :o)

All I can say is that we have been very busy with our little ones and loving (nearly) every minute! :o)

Let's Celebrate!

We are blessed to enjoy five significant life events in our family within a one week span. It's makes for a wonderfully exciting, very busy week. This year, we added a new little one and a great visit with grandparents into the mix. Hence, we have lots of pictures and very little time to share them. However, here's the highlights. :o)

Let's celebrate . . .

A great visit with Grandma and Grandpa!
Being a Mommy (on Sunday) . . .
Seven wonderful years of marriage (on Monday) . . .
Turning five (on Wednesday) . . .
Entering a new decade and reaching one month (on Friday) . . .
Achieving another year (on Monday) . . .
Praise the Lord for another year of blessings!
