Officially Transplanted, P.S.

For those who may have wondered, the very red batter yielded very red cakes . . .

which were then covered by very white icing.

Beautiful and yummy!
(But I don't think I'll be doing it again anytime soon!)

Aww. And here I was thinking I was going to get to try my very first red velvet cake when we came down. :-)
Guess the southern hasn't completely taken over yet.
