Yes, we tried it that way once, too! Did you watch it or did you manage to unplug it quickly?!
I watched it as one frozen in disbelief...Chris managed to get the lid back on and the thing unplugged. :o)
I still remember with great delight the time my parents did that...we kids thought it was wonderfully funny!!!
Yeah, we did it once too. Comes from thinking it's good to let the oil heat up before putting the kernels in, then turning to answer a question. Didn't know popcorn could pop so far.
