Same station, New Location. :)
Thank you for your patience with the break in our regular programming. ;)
Let me just say that moving is not for the faint of heart. To those of you who have moved more than just a handful of times ... my heartfelt sympathy. As for me ... I have absolutely no desire to ever move again. Period.
We are "settled" in our new home ... and it's finally beginning to feel like home. At least a little. This post, however, will take you through just the first two of the last four weeks ... basically the days leading up to and including our actual move.
Day 117. My dear friend, Jan, hosted an all-day play date with the big kids so that Mommy could focus on packing. What. A. Blessing. I was able to get so many boxes packed! By the end of the day, all of our nicknacks and pictures and books were packed and ready to go!

SO thankful that this little lady was content and cheerful ... and not. quite. mobile. ;)
That same evening, the kids had the closing ceremony for the Bible Club they attended this year. I'm sorry about the blurry pictures, but it was a special time nonetheless.
Day 118. While Mommy was focused on packing, Daddy was putting in some very long hours finishing things up at work. One perk ... a beautiful sunrise. ;)
Significantly less packing took place with everybody home with Mommy this day, but I did get a closet emptied and stacked in the corner. Yet one more reason to love storage bins. :)
A huge blessing this day was a special dinner for Mommy with her girlfriends. ♥ So thankful for each of those ladies. SO sad that I forgot to take a picture at the dinner, but a few of us continued the fellowship with after-dinner coffee, and we did capture a picture there. ♥
Day 119. Miss Abby is 9 months old!! What a trooper! So thankful that she's been flexible and reasonably content throughout this last month. At nine months, she was just starting to scoot, eat solid foods, and had 7 (or 8?) teeth. Her favorite sounds are "Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma" and "Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba" ... roughly equivalent to "mama" and "dada" (we think). ;)
Hannah-bug had fun in the kitchen as we got creative using up our pantry ingredients. :)
L.O.V.E. seeing these two together. ♥
Day 120. One last picnic in our "picnic area" :)
Day 121. I really like Mommy's smoothie mixed with some extra yogurt ... I eat it every morning! :)
Daddy finished up twelve years in IT today.
And I can truly say that he always autographs his work with excellence. ♥
Day 122. Good friends are such a blessing! The kids once again enjoyed a play day while other friends came over to help us pack up the garage. So amazing to see how the Lord brings everything together.
Just one more blessing was that the timing of our move allowed Hannah to participate in year-end piano recital. :)
♥
And, the Lord allowed us to sell Chris's truck! Day 123. This was a very. hard. Sunday. We were blessed by friends who truly made it sweeter with an invitation to join them for ice cream after the evening service. ♥
Day 124. Grandpa arrived with the moving truck!!
And *mostly* everything was packed and ready to go before we went to bed that night ...
Day 125. The Lord blessed with a beautiful day for moving ...
And even more important ... an amazing crew of friends to help us load the moving truck!!! So. Thankful. ♥
And due to yet another friend, we were all fed an amazing and delicious lunch! Blessings abounded!
So beyond thankful for our dear pastor and his wife. ♥ They ministered to us for over twelve years. This was most definitely the hardest good bye for me personally. ♥
And the truck is loaded!Other than the placement of the windows, absolutely nothing about this room was the same as when we moved in. So thankful for the six years the Lord allowed us to live and grow here. ♥
We moved in as a family of four.
We moved out as a family of six.
And we're off ...
With a little ice cream treat along the way. Have to get our last QT cones! :)
Day 126. The kids took turns riding with Grandpa today, and Peter got the first shift. :)
The van was a bit roomier with the other seat folded down. :)
Matthew is ever on the lookout for flowers for Mommy. ♥ Even at rest areas ...
Sleeping beauty ...
And giggly girl ... she loves Toby so much!
Day 127. Time to unload! Thankful that Lord blessed with another crew to help on this end. :)
Mommy spent the afternoon trying to make some headway with the boxes ...
And decided that a rest was in order when she found the popcorn maker. :)
Boxes, boxes everywhere ... but I was done. For a bit at least. :)
Day 128. Bedrooms were top priority, and by Friday night we had most of the beds put together and generally in their right locations.
Abby-girl's first nap ... Matthew's pretty excited about 1. Being on the top bunk till November and 2. Having an awesome view out his window. :)
The living room was at least somewhat livable ...
The basement ... not so much. :P
Day 129. I don't care about boxes, Daddy! :) I just want YOU!!!
Day 130. We've enjoyed some breathtaking sunsets since arriving ...
And that, my friends, is all for now. :)
You shall see what progress two weeks can bring (or not!) in the next installation. :)

So glad to know that the kids weren't packed into the truck. Along with Grandpa. ;-)
Day 121 pictures were special to me. That was my office that Chris took over. I felt the same way. Also, that sign to "autograph your work" was put up by me down in Reveal. Chris did more than autograph with excellence. His work was near perfection. I will miss my chats with him. But there's always Facebook and text messages.
Thanks, Tom. That is high praise.
The kids must have loved riding in the truck with Grandpa -- what a fun moving-day memory for them! (Bravo for remembering to do 9-mouth pictures in the midst of your chaos!)
