It's been a busy. couple. weeks. Hence the lack of posts. Nothing particularly "unusual," just the normal stuff of life, but some days, just getting to lunch is an accomplishment well worth celebrating. :) Just sayin'. :) So celebrate we shall. :)
Day 29. Yay! I love early spring color, and my Lenten Roses have lived up to their promise! :)
Day 30. This was quite an exciting morning as my very industrious five-year-old showed wonderful initiative and voluntarily unloaded the entire dishwasher ... of dirty dishes. #ironies of life #gotta laugh :)
Seriously though, I am so thankful for my eager, cheerful helpers ... and it's so encouraging to see them becoming more and more of a real help. Give our older two a pair of shovels and they can unload a truck bed of mulch in very short order. :)
Day 31. Although I said there wasn't anything unusual these last few weeks, I suppose tornado warnings do qualify as somewhat unusual. :) We spent most of the afternoon and early evening in the basement ... the kids enjoyed watching some DVDs and Mommy ironed clothes in preparation for the upcoming consignment sale. Thankfully the only trains we heard were the ones running on rails a mile or so down the road. :)
Day 32. "It's snowing, Mommy! It's snowing!" he exclaimed with very. excited. squeals. Matthew thoroughly approved the morning's snack.
Day 33. Love. this. picture. It's so encouraging to see moments of peace and cooperation ... some days they're abundant ... other days ... not so much. :)
Day 34. Nope. It didn't take the 2-year-old long at. all. to figure out Daddy's new
Day 35. Here's another big helper ... thoroughly enjoying the blessings of being a blessing. :) She helped Mommy drop off all of our stuff for consignment which involved numerous trips with full arms to the far reaches of a very. large. hall. We simply couldn't ignore the "hot-n-ready" sign after having worked so hard ... ;)
Day 36. Somehow spinning is so much more fun than swinging ... I get dizzy just watching them!
Day 37. We were ... umm ... making Valentine's Cards. for family. Not that anyone could find them. But they're there. Somewhere. Buried. Might find a couple more children buried under there somewhere, too. ;) #breathe deeply #breathe #breathe #walk into another room
Day 38. Thankfully Daddy was home, because Mommy was simply out of steam and feeling rather "off" Friday afternoon. The kiddos brought things to help me feel better. ♥ And thankfully little more was needed than a good night's sleep.
Day 39. One of Hannah's Christmas gifts from the Blessing Family was a "girlfriend cupcake kit" which became the impetus for a Valentine's party. :) She is so excited, and we had tons of fun shopping together for supplies this weekend. ♥ One of her desires was to have aprons for all of her friends, and we both thought this fabric was just about perfect. :) And even her dolls now have cupcake aprons! :) Mommy is SO thankful to have a sewing machine which makes such projects both doable and fun. (And if there's interest, I'll be glad to share a how-to post as the aprons were a super easy conglomeration of about three different online patterns.)
Day 40. Just enjoying some book time.
Day 41. The dishes were clean this time. :)
Day 42. We finished up our Valentine's Cards ... now to get them in the mail ... :) #need envelopes

Hannah's card making looks so familiar. Only mine is generally piles of beads being put in many other piles. Somewhat fortunately the carpet keeps them almost in one area of the house. :-) The aprons look wonderful! Have tons of fun.
I love your "breathe deeply, breathe, breathe, walk into another room". :) That's so me. :)
