Double Mileage

You wouldn't believe the mileage we got from two grocery sacks, two cups of flour and water, and two bottles of food coloring this evening! Since Daddy was working late, Mommy planned a special craft to fill the hours till bedtime.

We cut apart a grocery sack to use as a tree trunk, and then we made "leaves" using homemade finger paint and handprints. Tons of fun!



Peter wasn't quite as interested in the handprinting part of it, but he definitely enjoyed splashing and splattering!





Hannah, of course, thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the painting. :o)

Was it worth the hour of cleanup after the kids went to bed? Absolutely! But next time, I'm definitely covering the table with newspaper first!
